Concept :
Krantismrutivan was conceptualized on 12th January, 1992 by a leading thinker from Maharashtra State Shri. Sampatrao Pawar to promote national unity, tolerance and patriotism in the country. Krantivan was born to awaken the spirit of change in the society by glorifying the bravery of the freedom movement and the sacrifices of the revolutionariesin India’s Independence Movement and presenting them to the youths of the country.
With the aim of making the youth cultured, empowered and patriotic, Krantivan was started on January 18, 1992 in the form of a tree in memory of the revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives in the Indian War of Independence.
Krantivan has adopted innovative initiatives for nation building in village Balwadi, Khanapur taluka of Sangli District. Spread in five acres on the banks of Yerla river, Krantivan has the natural attraction for youths. Many young people have taken up the task of the nation by seeing their favorite revolutionaries in the form of trees. The glorious history of revolutionaries is awakened here. Many young people have become cultured and self-reliant by being enchanted by living in such an emotional and sacred environment. Everyone considers Smriti Vriksha to be revolutionary and this Krantivan is now famous all over Maharashtra as a place of supernatural inspiration.
