He is eminent social reformer in Maharashtra. His father Govindrao Pawar was active in the movement along with ‘Kranti Singh Nana Patil’. Mr. Sampatrao Pawar was born in an environment of anti-government, influence of truth seeker movement and militant caste tradition. As his father was at the forefront of social reform and nation building after independence, he was ingrained in his idealism at an early age. So sacrifice, dedication, selflessness and unceasing action they are cherishing throughout their life. Mukundarao Kirloskar, G.P.Pradhan, Karmaveer Baba Amte, Shirubhau Limaye, Mohan Dharia, Vasant Bapat, Justice Chandrasekhar Dharmadhikari, Usha Mehta, Medha Patkar, He got the company and guidance of such great thinkers. Therefore, he devoted his life in the fields of movement, awareness, research, drought relief, nature conservation, water conservation, human resource development, youth development.
